"The pay rate and the benefits are better than most companies and the miles are good, but that's not the only reason I like working here. NPE is one of the few trucking companies left who treat you like you're part of the family. They have an open door policy and they take legitimate concerns and deal with them honestly and fairly."

Robert says that he and most other drivers feel that "NPE is a comfortable place to work and they aren't going any place else."   In summing things up, Robert believes that "NPE is what a lot of other companies claim to be."

"There's good and bad in all companies, that's just part of trucking and it comes with the territory.  But with NPE there's a lot more good than bad.

 I've been with NPE for a lot of years. I did take some time off to manage a restaurant but that drove me crazy so I came right back here.

 Trucking is a tough business, it's hard work and you're not going to be happy unless you like the people you work with and I happen to like all the people here at NPE. If you have to drive a truck, this is the place to do it. I still like driving after all these years. If I'm home for more than 2 days, I get the itch to get back in my truck and get down the road."

Kamenko also appreciates the non-forced dispatch system at NPE. Like everyone else who makes a living in the transportation industry, Kamenko has to watch his bottom line, but he feels he has found a good home with NPE and plans on staying with the company as long as possible.
