CONTRACTORS 
To qualify as an NPE driver contractor, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 23 years of age
• 3-axle tractor, 5 years old or newer, weighing less that 19,500 lb
• 2 years verifiable over the road driving experience
• Must be professional and have a clean and neat appearance
• Good driving record with HazMat endorsement
• Must have a current medical card
• Must pass Drug screen prior to orientation (NPE covers all associated costs)
• Must live in WA, OR, CA, NV, UT, ID

Settlement Package

NPE Contractors Lease Details:

	Gross Lease
Base Compensation	Up to $.96/Mile for all dispatched miles after the first 50 deadhead. Plus FSC
Fuel and Fuel Taxes	Owner Pays (NPE will deduct from your settlement and pay on your behalf)
2290 Forms	Owner Pays
Licensing & Registrations	Owner Pays
Preload and Drop Off Charges *This applies to Solo's only	Owner pays $50 to pick up or drop off a loaded trailer within 60 miles of its pickup or drop location, provided the length of the load exceeds 550 miles. There will be no charge if the length of the load does not exceed 550 miles.
Weekly Liability Insurance	Solo Owner Pays $95-$115/Wk, Teams Pay $135-$155/Wk
Bobtail Liability Insurance	$1,000,000 Coverage $31/Month Through NPE
Deductible Buyback Option	Owner's Option: $30/Month (This option reduces your total exposure of any applicable deductible in the event of a liability claim to $500 only.)
Random Drug Screen Costs	Owner Pays
PrePass Program	Owner's Option:  $13.99 Per month.
Tolls	Owner Pays
Scale Tickets	Owner Pays
Physical Damage Coverage On Your Tractor (Based on Tractor Value)	Owner's Option: Can purchase on own or through NPE's vendor at a competitive rate. ($1000 deductible)
Occupational Accident Coverage	Owner's Option: Can purchase on own or through NPE's vendor at a competitive rate.

NPE provides these services at no cost to the contractor increasing the total pay package.

Lease Purchase Program
Drivers who are interested in becoming Contractors but don't own their own tractor may be eligible for NPE's Lease Purchase Program.  Drivers can lease a truck from NPE and run as a Contractor while making payments on their equipment.
