DRIVING POSITIONS

NPE has been providing superior transportation services for over two decades. We offer opportunities for contractors, teams and company drivers. We also have dedicated positions and offer a lease-purchase program as well.

Company Drivers 
To qualify as a company Driver for NPE, you must meet the following requirements:  

• Have two years verifiable over the road driving experience
• Be at least 23 years of age
• Must have a current medical card
• Must pass Drug screen prior to orientation (NPE covers all associated costs)
• Have a safe driving record, with HazMat endorsement. 
• No serious traffic violations, no patterns of irresponsible driving habits and no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years
• Must be professional and have a clean and neat appearance
• Must live in WA, OR, CA, ID

Compensation

Pay for experience, consideration will be given to drivers with more than NPE’s minimum required driving experience. 

SOLO --  $0.35 to $0.38 cents per mile to start

TEAM -- $0.41 to $0.48 cents per mile to start (Total rate for teams, each individual will receive half of the amount)

Vacation Policy
Benefit program includes paid time off for drivers. Vacation pay is determined by dividing annual earnings by 52 (weeks):

• Drivers receive one week paid time off after first year
• Two weeks at 2 years
• Three weeks at 10 years

Bonuses

• All NPE drivers are eligible to earn a yearly Safety Bonus up to $1000.00 paid yearly.

Dedicated Routes 

NPE has established lanes with a number of customers that allow drivers to be home more frequently. All dedicated openings are offered to our current fleet drivers first, on a seniority basis and depending on the proximity in which they live to the dedicated runs.
